Master Tony with one of his 3 sons

Master Tony Rogers, a 30 year veteran of the martial arts, opened Self Defense America in 1999 to offer a variety of programs to both children and adults in Sarasota, Florida.

In 2008, Master Tony moved his premier martial arts training facility to Marshall, North Carolina. At Full Circle Martial Arts Combat Hapkido, adults and children in the Western North Carolina area can attend training programs specifically designed for all ages and levels of proficiency.

Full Circle Martial Arts Combat Hapkido also provides private security consulting and training to business professionals, law enforcement agencies, and federal agencies.

Full Circle's primary curriculum is the Korean martial art of Chon-Tu Kwan Hapkido, better known as Combat Hapkido. Among other disciplines, it has roots from Traditional Hapkido, Muay Thai, and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu.

Grandmaster John PellegriniIn 1990 Grandmaster Pellegrini officially named his style of Hapkido "Combat Hapkido" (Chon-Tu Kwan Hapkido in Korean). The name clearly identifies it and sets it apart from other so-called "traditional" styles of Hapkido. It is also referred to as the "Science of Self Defense".

Combat Hapkido is an extremely realistic and versatile discipline of self protection that includes an extensive variety of joint locks, kicks, strikes, take downs, pressure points, ground survival, disarming techniques and the use of selected weapons. The result is a comprehensive Self Defense system enjoyable to learn, safe to practice and most of all, totally effective.Grandmaster John Pellegrini
